The all New 2009 Radiator BOOster™ builds on the success of the previous model. It now offers even greater energy savings as a result of the new thermostatic control and has one more efficient, even quieter fan.
The thermostatic control means the fan automatically turns on when the radiator reaches 32oc and off again when the temperature falls below this level, so doesn't waste energy circulating cooler air when and means you no longer have to switch the Radiator Booster™ on and off manually. Another improvement is the new sliding design which means that the New Radiator Booster™ can be adjusted to fit small and larger radiators.
The manufacturer claims the New Radiator Booster™ can save the average household between £70 and £140 per year so will pay for itself in just a few short months.

Just like its predecessor the New Radiator BOOster™ works to save energy in 2 ways:
-
Increases central heating efficiency: A typical central heating boiler will use around 15 kilowatts of energy every hour (some even more). If you could save just one hour a week of your boiler working, you would save 15 kilowatts of energy. You could find the savings more than this, up to 14 hours/week (200 kilowatts) during the colder months!
-
Reduces heat loss: As your radiator heats up, the ‘rear’ surface normally radiates heat onto your wall, heating this up, which in turn is lost through the wall structure due to conduction. The Radiator BOOster™ sucks most of this wasted heat and fires it into your room, significantly reducing the losses, saving you even more energy. It really is as simple as that!
Installing the Radiator BOOster™ is very easy, you simply place the Radiator BOOster™ on top or behind a standard domestic water-filled radiator, plug it in, and away it goes. Two small miniature 12-volt electric fans suck the heated air from behind the radiator, firing it into your room far quicker than any natural convection. Each 12V DC fan is rated a < 1.0 watt which means that even if you operate a Radiator BOOster™ for say six hours, every evening for six months of the year, it would cost just 30 pence/year. In contrast if as a result of using the booster you were to turn down your room thermostat by just 1 degree Celsius (trials have indicated more that 2 degrees is normal), it would save the average home 10% (typical around £50) of your heating bills/year so paying for itself in less than 6 months. The more Radiator BOOster™ you install the more you can potentially save so why not select one of our multi-packs as above.
