Jonsered, one of the world's earliest innovators of forestry products, started out near Gothenburg Sweden in 1834. By 1954 they had produced the prototype for the world's first lightweight one-man chainsaw, followed by their original brush-cutter the following year. Today they have expanded to incorporate lawncare and garden maintenance products in their range, whilst their chainsaws still win awards for their top performance - such as the great value Spin Start CS2234 with a 14" bar, to the top of the range Ulticor 24". Last year (2010) most of the competitors at the World Logging Championships in Croatia had a Jonsered Chainsaw in their hands, including Gold Medallist Andres Olesk from Estonia.
