For Liebherr, being actively green starts at the very beginning of the design process. In keeping with this ethos, Liebherr uses high quality components for its appliances to provide long and safe operation and top energy efficiency. All plastics are marked for recycling. the manufacturing processes are also geared to efficient use of resources. To give one example: the heat naturally generated during manufacture of appliances is recycled as heating energy. All European manufacturing sites are certified with the international environmental management standard ISO 14001.

Liebherr BioFresh keeps food fresher longer by maintaining the perfect climate by holding temperature slightly above freezing and creating the ideal humidty for different food types.  Fruit and vegetables are kept in more humidy conditions in the 'BioFresh hydro safe' and dried meats and cheeses are kept at low humidity in the 'BioFresh dry safe'.  Storing food in these carefiully regulated conditions locks in vitamins, flavour and aroma which allows you to keep food longer cutting down waste.

Liebherrs' NoFrost technology enables rapid, fan assisted frost-free freezeing for the safe, long-term storage of food.  As well as ensuring that your freezers operates at maximum efficiency, the NoFrost system creates a much larger storage capacity and consigns the chore of defrosting to history.
