The unque triple chamber design of the Earthmaker Compost Bin takes the hard work and hassle out of composting. There is no need for the digging, turning and transferring material associated with traditional bin methods of making compost. Furthermore there is no need for either the regular turning and mixing of the compost or the difficulties with keeping mature compost and fresh waste separate that is usual with traditional single bin composting.
The beauty of the triple chamber design is that is uses gravity to do most of the hard work, all it requires is just a few minutes of your time each month and very small amount of effort to move the contents from chamber to chamber for a regular supply of compost. Perfect for all those with busy lives and for gardeners of all ages and levels of mobility. The three chambers have a total capacity of 466 litres and the bin stands 1.2 metres tall with a diameter of 75cm.
Earthmaker is very easy to assemble, it just clicks together. No tools or screws required. Nor do you need previous composting experience. Full assembly instructions and a four-page user guide are included in every pack, and a copy of the Earthmaker user guide can be viewed online by following the link in the additional information section below.

Why choose an Earthmaker Composter? Earthmaker compost bins are a very eco-friendly choice as well as being very easy to use. Particular reasons for choosing an Earthmaker include:
Reduces greehouse gas emissions: Earthmaker’s unique aerobic composting process retains newly added waste material on shelves above the ground, whilst radiant heat absorbed through the black plastic top plus the heat generated by the decomposition process draws air up through the ventilation holes under the material. A good supply of oxygen is needed for microbes to break down organic waste efficiently and in the Earthmaker composter, this process is further accelerated as material tumbles down from shelf to shelf which means the composting is faster! Coventional single bin composter can be detrimental to the environment as anaerobic composting (i.e.in the absence of oxygen) creates the ozone depleting gases methane and carbon dioxide. These conventional bins only work correctly if the material is regularly lifted and turned which can be very hard work.
Easy to use: The Earthmaker Composter is effectively like a 3 bin composting system but is organised vertically rather than horizontally which means that gravity does all the hard work for you in moving the material between the bins. Earthmaker’s continuous cycle process separates your newly added material from older material, that way mature mulch or compost can be removed when convenient. (Attempting to aerate material in a single bin units means mixing new waste with old which slows down the process). The Earthmaker push-pull-tool makes it easy to mix and move material through the process without straining your back with heavy lifting and turning.
Faster process: According to independent research carried out by Garden Organic (previously known as HYDRA), a UK based research institute, the Earthmaker composter will make twice as much compost as traditional bins in any given period. As noted above, when composting is aerobic it is more efficient. To see full report click here.
