Brill 38VBRL Petrol lawn Scarifier Aerator
The Brill 38VB/RL is the petrol powered version of Brills new scarifier/aerator range suitable for larger lawn areas up to 700sqm. The compact design is easy to use and changing between scarifying blades and aerating steel spring prongs is tool-free. The Brill 38VB/RL is powered by a lowered emission, 53cc 4-stroke OHV petrol engine providing a perfect balance of power and cable-free flexibility. The Brill 38VB/RL has a 37cm working width, 5 position central cutting cylinder height adjustment, adjustable and folding handlebars plus a 55 litre collection box.
Using a scarifier/aerator can play an important role in help create and maintain a lush green lawn as scarifying will help maintain and improve the health of your lawn by allowing nutrients, air and water to penetrate deep down to the roots of the grass. Scarifying is best carried out in the spring at the start of the growing season and again in late Autumn. The 14 specially shaped wolf' tooth scarifying blades cut vertically into the lawn loosening up the soil and providing good passage for nutrients and water to roots, whilst and simultaneous removing lawn felt which forms in winter. Aerating on the other hand can be carried out more regularly and is the
equivalent to vigorously raking the lawn to remove thatch that can crowd-out grass seed. The rotating steel tines of the aerator roller scour through the space between the individual grass plants leaving them undamaged.
