The Liebherr GT2121 is the smallest capacity chest freezer in the new 2011 range with 193 Litres of A+ energy rated of storage consuming just 229 kWh of electrcity per annum.Like its predecesor, the GTS2112 It's compact size makes it ideal if space is restricted and the updated design features a new ergonomically improved handle and builds on Liebherrs legendary reputation for delivery the very highest quality refrigeration. Like all models in the Liebherr range, the GT2121 is equipped with sturdy steel hinges and retaining springs which hold the lid conveniently open for loading and unloading and ensures a smooth opening and closing action. Liebherr chest freezers also benefit from 'Stopfrost' technology which dramatically reduces frosting-over of the freezer and frozen food by up to 70%. The 'StopFrost' system also reduces the need to defrost whilst simultaneously preventing a vacuum from forming which canmake the freezer very difficult to open after the lid has been opened and closed. You will also notice that the Liebherr GT 2121 is quieter than other chest freezers. This is because it uses jointless foam insulation with the heat -exchanger condenser (the thing that does the freezing!) embedded in the foam insulation which reduces vibration making it quieter in operation. This jointless foam insulation also improves energy efficiency and stops condensation forming on the outside walls of the freezer.
