The Stellar SEA12 domino or dual zone induction iob is a powerful 3.1kW dual zone hob with touch control that can either be installed into a worktop or used as a standalone unit. Induction cooking is energy efficient using up to 40% less electricty than conventional hobs and also offers the instant controllability of gas. A further benefit is that because heat is generated by induction current, the pan is heated rather than the hob so the hob surface stays relatively cool meaning it is much safer operation.
A Stellar freestanding Induction Hob is an ideal companion for an Aga in summer, but can also provide an additional cooking facility when the kitchen is at its busiest. It is also ideal for student life or for use in a caravan.

How does Induction cooking work?
Under the ceramic plate of an Induction Hob there is an electric coil which when electricity is passed through it, generates a every strong magnetic field. This in turn generates an induction current which causes heat to build in any magnetic cookware that is standing on the ceramic plate. So as well as being safer, more responsive and using less energy than conventional electric hobs, a Stellar Portable Induction Hob will be easy to clean with a soapy damp cloth as no food spillage will bake onto the ceramic, because it remains relatively cool.
You can easily test your existing cookware to see whether it is suitable for induction cooking by testing it with a fridge magnet to verify that its base can be magnetised. Cookware without compatible bases such as aluminium and ceramic cannot be used. We offer a great range of non-stick eco friendly GreenPan induction cookware which is also PTFE and PFOA free.
