Terms & Conditions
How do I order?
Shopping with Green & Easy is simple. You can browse the extensive range of products using the drop-down menus at the top of the page, or use the search box located on the top right-hand side of the page. Products are organised into categories and sub-categories, and you can find more detailed information about any product in any category either by clicking on the image or the ‘View’ button. When you find a product you would like to buy, simply click on ‘Add to basket’ and the item is automatically added to your basket. If you have chosen an item which has a different colour variation for example, or different size, please select using the radio button and click on ‘Add to basket’ to place that selection in your shopping basket instead. The original product image displayed on the page stays the same, but your selection is actually placed into the basket. When you have added an item, you will be taken to the basket where you can either amend or remove the item quantity or continue to checkout. If you need to edit the basket you simply change the quantity in the box shown and click ‘Update’ or click ‘Remove’ and the item will be removed entirely. Please note if you are buying more than one product the delivery charge may be recalculated at checkout – but if you are mainland UK this will always be to save you money where possible. For non-mainland customers the delivery charge will almost certainly change once you have given a non-mainland UK delivery address. Whenever you have finished shopping, click on ‘Checkout’, and you will be taken to the payment pages where you will be asked to sign-in with an email address (to which the confirmation email receipt will be sent). If you are a new customer, enter your email address and choose a password to protect it, but if you have bought before you can simply enter your email address and password as an existing customer. Please follow the instructions for completion of your order. If preferred, you can contact us by email or telephone to discuss your order. When buying a product or service from one of our partners or affiliates, please follow the links and instructions as directed. After you have purchased, we welcome any customer service enquiries addressed directly to us in the first instance.
We accept credit card payment for the following credit and debit cards; VISA, Mastercard, and Maestro. We also accept BACS payments; please contact us for account details. Cheques are accepted but will need 3 working days to clear before dispatch is made. Please make cheques payable to ‘Green & Easy’. All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and include VAT at 20%, and may change from time to time. We also reserve the right to change prices if the rate of VAT or delivery changes, and will ensure prices are clearly shown. Payment for credit & debit card orders is taken at the time of order. If you do not wish to give your credit card details over the internet, please call us on 0845 257 0550 (we do NOT recommend you email your credit card details).
Customers who are not mainland UK
We accept orders from the UK and members of the European Community (EC). We may at our absolute discretion refuse to accept orders from outside mainland UK for certain products where it is impractical or impossible for us to do so, for example large household appliances. UK sales tax (VAT) will apply to all orders from within the European Community (EC). Any customs or import duties levied at the destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer. PLEASE NOTE - if you try to process your payment without selecting the correct destination in the drop-down 'Choose your country' when asked for your delivery address, and the delivery charge is subsequently calculated by our checkout at the incorrect price for your real destination, we will always decline the order unless you choose to accept the correct charge.
All customers shopping from outside the United Kingdom and European Union may contact us on +44 (0)1684 563458 or email us via the details found on the ‘Contact’ page. If, at our absolute discretion, we decide to accept an order for any product to any non-mainland UK and non-EC address there will be an additional shipping charge which will always be agreed with you before processing the order.
This website and our terms and conditions have been designed for use within the UK and under English law. We give no warranty, express or implied, that the use of this website or the placing of any order through this website from outside the UK complies with any applicable non-UK laws or regulations. Accordingly, any products or promotions not permitted under your local law are not offered to you. UK sales tax will be zero in the event we acept any orders for despatch to a customer outside the EC. Any customs or import duties levied at the destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Please note on some occasions products may be out of stock, in which case your order will either be part-shipped, including advice on the date when the remainder of the order will be shipped, or we will let you know that your order is on backorder until the anticipated date that stock will next be available. Non-UK customers should be aware that all electrical appliances are specifically for the UK 240V electrical system.
Where you have ordered a product or service through a link to one of our partners or affiliates, they will confirm stock, delivery dates and pricing directly with you and Green & Easy are in no way responsible for the terms & conditions of sale for third party companies, nor the accuracy of their product availability information.
Accepting your order
When we receive your order we will send you a confirmation email. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we despatch your order. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, we are unable to collect authorisation for your payment, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. If a price has changed, we will always contact you first to ensure the new price is acceptable.
Cancelling your order
If for any reason you would like to cancel your order, you may do so by contacting customer services on 0845 257 0550. Cancellations can only be accepted by notifying us either by telephone, or in writing, at any time before despatch and up to 7 working days after delivery. Cancellations made before despatch will be reimbursed in full (except in some cases for household appliances, see below) provided you have notified us of your intention to cancel as outlined above, but we regret postage cannot be refunded if cancellations are made after despatch. Full reimbursement for goods that have already been delivered to you will ONLY be made if the goods are returned in their original, undamaged packaging, in the same condition as supplied to you, and in accordance with our returns policy as set out below.
* Please note a re-stocking charge will ALWAYS apply to cancelled orders for household appliances where despatch has already begun. Where household appliances specifically ordered by you are delivered direct from the manufacturer we also reserve the right to pass on to you at cost any re-stocking charge levied on Green & Easy by the manufacturer of those product(s).
Most mauinland UK deliveries are free of charge and where additional charges apply, these are clearly displayed prior to checkout. Further details of our delivery policy and any likely additional charges can be viewed here. Estimated dates of delivery (where known) are for despatch to mainland UK only are displayed in the 'Delivery' tab on each product page. We endeavour to process your order within 24 hours, and deliver stock items within 48 hours (2 working days) of despatch to mainland UK. Goods are mainly despatched by 1st class Royal Mail and DPD courier, but Green & Easy reserve the right to change this without notice and despatch by the most appropriate method. Many of our products are shipped directly from the manufacturer or shipping agent to minimise the number of unnecessary road journeys, therefore saving carbon emissions. Such products are despatched in accordance with each companies’ own delivery policies, and we are dependent on their delivery companies to fulfil your order. We pass any or all details of their individual arrangements on to you in good faith but they are not under our direct control. For deliveries outside mainland UK, we will advise customers separately of more precise delivery times for their area or country. All standard delivery information displayed on the website relates only to mainland UK, and estimates of delivery outside this area can be found by clicking on the 'delivery' link at the foot of each page . Please check your order on delivery as any damage MUST be reported to Customer Services on 0845 257 0550 within 7 days of receipt. If the packaging is obviously damaged when it arrives, please either refuse to accept delivery or sign for the goods 'unchecked, packaging damaged' before inspecting the items and calling us immediately.
Failed deliveries. Failed deliveries of domestic appliances will incur an additional delivery charge if you are not present on the agreed delivery date and you have not given us a minimum of 24 hours notice.
If you are not completely satisfied with any item you buy from us, please contact customer services in the first instance. We will provide clear instructions for the return of the goods for refund or exchange. It is your responsibility under Distance Selling Regulations to return goods to us within a reasonable timeframe. You must take reasonable care to ensure that the goods are not damaged in transit and have adequate transit insurance. Return postage costs are NOT pre-paid and are your responsibility. We reserve the right to organise collection of the goods and deduct the reasonable charge from any refund due to you (always advised in advance). Return postage costs will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. You must return the goods in their original, undamaged packaging, in the same condition as supplied to you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. We reserve the right to withhold a percentage of the refund value of returned goods if the product or packaging is not in fully resaleable condition. In the event your item is not in stock, we will back-order for you. You will always be contacted with an estimated delivery date if you would like to wait; alternative products if available; or the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure photography, descriptions and details are accurate at the time of publishing. However, slight differences in colours and textures may occur and manufacturer’s product specifications may change. Please note all measurements are approximate. We will try our utmost to maintain the accuracy of the information we provide.
Any personal information either provided to or collected by Green & Easy and its websites is controlled primarily by March Consultancy Ltd T/A Green & Easy, details as below. Green & Easy treats all your personal information (for example name, addresses, telephone number, email address, credit card or other payment information, password etc.) as confidential, and we never disclose customer information to third parties other than when your order details are necessarily processed as part of the order fulfilment. We may also collect non-transactional data, for example, entering or responding to a competition, requesting further information, taking part in a survey, requesting newsletters or contacting us via electronic forms. We NEVER release or sell your personal information to any other third party company for mailing or marketing purposes. Where you have indicated you are happy to receive the occasional marketing communication from us we will send occasional newsletter or catalogue. If you no longer wish to do so, please either contact customer services, or click the ‘unsubscribe’ option on the communication. We hold information in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, and only use your information for the following purposes:
- Processing and delivery of your order(s)
- Statistical purposes to improve the quality of service for this website and it’s usability for you
- To administer this website
- To notify you of products or services that might interest you if you have given your consent to do so
You agree that you do not object to us contacting you for any of the above purposes whether by telephone, email or in writing and you confirm that you do not and will not consider any of the above as being a breach of your rights under the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
If you are purchasing a television, please note that the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1967 requires us to notify the TV Licensing Authority, giving full details of the address to which the TV is delivered. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable laws.
Green & Easy take your security very seriously. The sensitive data you give us when you order through the website is encrypted and transferred over the internet using COMODO secure socket layer (SSL) technology, to ensure your transactions are safe and secure. Even though we are committed to protecting the information you provide over the internet, and use advanced security measures, we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of your information nor be responsible for any loss, misuse or alteration, as is the case with all computer networks linked to the internet.
You warrant that all the personal information which you are required to give when you purchase or sign-in with us is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. You will notify us immediately of any changes to the personal information, by contacting customer services, and you agree not to impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or a name that you are not authorised to use.

As a user of the site you can participate in polls. As a registered user you can submit your experiences in testimonials and blog postings. By making any submissions and submitting material to the website, you acknowledge that you grant an irrevocable, non-exclusive license to Green & Easy to use this material on the website, or in any other media or in any other way as Green & Easy choose. For the avoidance of doubt, you acknowledge that you waive any moral rights including the right to be identified as the author or creator of any submissions. You agree that by making submissions, Green & Easy may adapt or modify such material in order to ensure that it is suitable for publication on the website. Green & Easy do not actively monitor the content of submissions and as such is not responsible for and gives no warranty or representation in relation to them or confirms their validity. When submitting material to the website you express your own views and opinions, which are not necessarily the views of Green & Easy or any entity associated with it. Whilst Green & Easy welcome the submissions of users, it expects them to act responsibly, in particular you give the following warranties, undertakings and representations in relation to any and all submissions: that the material submitted to the website does not contain any words which are threatening, sexually orientated, defamatory, obscene, or blasphemous; that material submitted to the website does not infringe any copyright, design right, registered design right, database right, patent, registered or unregistered trade mark, or any other right of a similar nature belonging to any legal or natural person; that if you find any submission in accordance with the above that you contact Green & Easy immediately. Upon receipt of such email, Green & Easy shall, at its sole discretion, remove such material. Green & Easy will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss to you.

All material featured and information provided on this website, whether text or images, are protected by copyright, trademark, or license. You may download, electronically copy or print any of the contents on condition that you are using them for personal and not for commercial purposes, and no right, interest or title transfers to you as a result. Use for any other purpose is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Green & Easy. You access this website entirely at your own risk. We do not represent or warrant that the material contained herein, any of the functions of the website and the server will operate without interruption or delay or will be error-free, free of any defects, viruses or bugs or compatible with any other software or material. You must not transmit through, or to, our website any material which is defamatory, distressing, harmful, obscene, pornographic, threatening or material that might infringe upon the rights of others (including intellectual property rights, rights of confidentiality, or rights of privacy) or material that does not comply with all relevant laws. We shall not be liable for any indirect, or consequential loss of any nature, including damage to hardware or software, loss of data, damage or loss of business, loss of profits, or any other direct or consequential losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the website (including without limitation, any such loss arising out of or in connection with any order placed on the website, whether or not accepted by us). The Green & Easy website is controlled and operated in the UK. These Terms and Conditions, and all matters connected with any order you place on our website, are governed by English law.
By accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out above. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use the website. We may change our terms and conditions at any time. In the event any of these terms and conditions prove to be invalid or unenforceable the remainder of these terms and conditions will still continue to have full force and effect.
